How to Record Voicemail

There are 2 ways to setup your MVNU voicemail. Choose the option that works best for your situation:

For dialing from off-campus, use these instructions:

1. Dial 740-392-6868, choose option 3.

2. Enter your extension (4 digits) and the password should be the same unless IT has setup a different one for you.

3. Follow the prompts to change your password.

4. Proceed by recording a greeting.

5. If the automated setup is not present or you would like to change settings, here is a brief menu for your reference:

   1. Enter voicemail setup (after passcode has been entered)

      1. Press 0 for mailbox options

         1. Press 1 to record your unavailable message (this is your standard message when callers hear your greetings).

         2. Press 2 to record your busy message (this message is optional and will be played when you line is busy).

         3. Press 3 to record your name (this is optional and can be used as a generic audio for greetings or the MVNU phone directory).

         4. Press 4 to record your temporary greeting (this is meant to override your standard greeting for a temporary time - for example while you are out on vacation. Just remember that you will need to delete the temporary greeting when you return).

For dialing on your campus desk phone use these instructions:

1. Press the voicemail button on your phone or dial *97.

2. Enter your extension (4 digits) and the password should be the same unless IT has setup a different one for you.

3. Follow the prompts to change your password.
