The password self-service site is a website that students and employees can use to change their password without having to call the helpdesk, or after they call the helpdesk for a generic password.  You must enroll before it allows you to change your password, which consists of choosing 3 security questions and answering them.  You only have to enroll the first time you log in to the site.

Enrolling your security questions

If you have already enrolled security questions, you can skip to the "Changing your password" section.

  1. Open a web browser and go to password.mvnu.edu and log in using your MVNU credentials.

Where it says " Log on to: " it should be automatically set to AD.  You do not need to change that or do anything there.  If for some reason it does not say AD, click the drop down box and choose AD.

2. Once you log in, it will bring up a window explaining the uses of the self-service site. To enroll, click "Click Here".

3. The site should automatically take you to the enrollment page. Once you get to the page, you will see a place to pick 3 security questions and answer them.  Once you have done this, click "Enroll".

4. A page should come up telling you that you've been successfully enrolled.

5. To change your password from this point, click "Change Password" in the upper left corner, shown in the image above, and skip to step 2 under the "Change your password" section.

Changing your password

If you have already been enrolled, there are a couple different ways that you can change your password.
