Mapping a Network Drive to iShare on a PC

To map a network drive to a SharePoint Online library, follow these steps:

Sign into the iShare site with Internet Explorer by clicking the link to iShare or going to https://ishare.mvnu.edu in the address bar.

Browse to the area (site/document library) that you want to map a network drive.

Select a folder or document within the folder you would like to map.  This will make the ribbon show up at the top of the site.

Click the LIBRARY tab on the ribbon, and then click Open with Explorer.  The icon looks like this…

After Windows Explorer opens up, click in the address bar, highlight the link to the location of the folder and copy it.  The window should look similar to this…

Right-click My Computer or This PC from the Desktop, or within Windows Explorer, and then click Map Network Drive.

Select a drive letter that you want your mapped drive to be.

Paste the folder location you copied in step 4, where it says folder.

Make sure “Reconnect at logon” or “Reconnect at sign-in” is checked so the drive will map every time windows starts.  If this is only a one-time mapping you can deselect the box.  On Windows 7, it should look like this…

Click finish and the network drive should be mapped.
